Account Operation on Skye Global

Once the account is opened, it will be created on our Internet Banking platform to enable account details to be viewed. The Internet banking platform will have a messaging service (Bankmail) that would allow the customer to send and receive messages within the bank's secured online banking environment.

A password shall be put in place for each customer to serve as a check on third parties gaining access to the online messaging platform.

The messaging services could be used to make general account or other enquiries, or request transaction services from the bank.
Any instruction to the bank through the messaging services shall be obliged and treated as appropriate in accordance with the mandate on the customers account

Third Party Payments

  • Through our Internet banking platform, customer initiates transfers direct to any bank account in Nigeria or sends money to non-account holders for cash pick up at any Skye Bank Branch.
  • Bank mail platform is also available to handle complaints and every other business transaction.

Direct Account Operation

The account can also be operated in person via ATM Card and Chequebook, whenever the customer visits Nigeria. These will be issued only at the customers’ request, through his/her bankmail. Issuance of chequebooks will require presentation of two suitable references from qualified Nigerian referees.

The customer shall also be at liberty to operate the account through a duly signed written instruction.

Charges on Skye Global

While the Skye Global account does not attract any account maintenance or Commission on Turnover charges, minimum charges exist for transactions like Inter-bank transfers, cost of cheque book/debit cards (issued on request) and local cash payouts/withdrawals in foreign currency.

How to open The Skye Global Account

Follow these two steps;

  • Take the completed form, other required documents (and the originals for verification purposes) to any Skye Bank agent.
